New Pattern Release: Santa Baby Car Seat Blanket

I’ve been a busy bee lately!  Despite sick kids, sick me, and sick hubby, I still managed to get this one released this weekend.  It’s super exciting for a nerd like me!

Introducing the Santa Baby Car Seat Blanket:

I’m going to be releasing similar patterns to match the Waffle Stitch Canopy as well.  Keep an eye out!

Two New Patterns Released!

I have released two new car seat canopy patterns today!

First, we have the Waffle Stitch Car Seat Canopy:

WaffleStitchCanopy01_small-listing

Next we have the festive Santa Baby Car Seat Canopy:

These canopies were so fun to design and turned out exactly how I imagined.  I’m thrilled!  It’s fun to make string pretty, isn’t it?

COMING SOON:  I am also designing matching car seat blankets and throws (both baby & adult sizes included) for both of these patterns.  The Santa Baby blankets should be released in the next few days.  So, keep an eye out!

If you’d like to grab one or both of these patterns, they are now available in any of my online stores:

Want the inside scoop?

Don’t you love the feeling of knowing something before anyone else does?  Do you want to know about my upcoming patterns before they are released?  Ok, I’ll tell you a secret…

All of my patterns are tested through a testing group on Ravelry.  Because of this, you can see the patterns I’m about to test in my projects page.  It’s true, although I think you have to be a Ravelry member to see them.

Do you want to know another secret?  There’s a new one in my projects right now!

Shhh!  Don’t tell.

Facebook Giveaway!

It’s time for another Giveaway!

This giveaway is on my Facebook page in celebration of the release of a new pattern on Monday, July 15th.  It will be a new addition to the Baby-licious Collection.  Hooray!

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment guessing what you think the pattern is.  Is it a blanket? Bag? Clothes? Other accessories?  The good news is that if you guess wrong, it’s no big deal.  The winner will be picked at random for this event.  So, you could guess a purple giraffe and still win.  (Hint: It’s not a purple giraffe.)

Spread the word!  Tell your fellow hookers (crochet hookers, it’s really our term) to enter.  And be sure to check back on Monday to see if you are the winner!

Coming Soon – UK Terms and A4 formatting

I recently have had an epiphany.  I had an inquiry as to if my patterns were written in US Terms or UK Terms.  This isn’t the first time that I’ve been asked this, but after I answered they were in US Terms and sent a link to a conversion chart, I realized I was basically saying, “I know you are paying for this pattern, but you’ll have to do all the work to make it work for you.”  That’s just wrong.  So, I am going to right this wrong.

Living here in the good old US of A, we sometimes forget that we are rebels who just have to be different from the rest of the world.  I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.  However, when creating something to share with the world, it helps if we take this into consideration and realize that to share with the world, we should also provide an option that the rest of the world understands.  That’s why I am currently working on translating all of my patterns into UK Terms / British Terms, whichever you prefer to call it.  I’ll be using “UK Terms.”

EDIT (Jan 1, 2015): I do also realized that most of the world does not speak English, but finding translators that I can afford has been a bit difficult.

As of date, I have already translated my Criss-Cross Baby Sandals pattern.  It is now offered in my shops as 2 PDF files. Both PDFs have both US and UK Terms included.  One PDF is formatted for Letter-size paper (Standard US size) and the other PDF is formatted for A4 paper (for most countries using the metric system).

UPDATE (Jul 9, 2013): Crocodile Stitch Canopy is also complete with both terms and formatting.

I hope this helps you all out and relieves some frustration.  As always, those who have already purchased any of my patterns will receive an updated pattern for free.  (Just give me some time, it’s a big project)  If you are interested in my patterns, please feel free to visit the my Pattern Page, or any of my online shops:

Craftsy

UPDATE (Jan 2, 2015): I still have yet to provide a UK version on all of my existing patterns. Some of them are now available, but not all. However, all of my newer patterns (those written from about Nov 2013 and on) come with both the US Terms version and UK Terms version.  Please visit my Patterns Page to see which are available with UK Terms. It will be updated regularly.
Speaking of my Patterns Page, you are now able to purchase my patterns directly from that page. I created it because it makes it so the patterns are exempt from the new VAT laws passed by the European Union and makes it so I don’t have to charge you an extra 20% or more.  Although I have no idea how they would enforce that (being in the USA and as far as I know those are the only laws that apply to me), I’m still trying to play nice.
